“Rock the River” Annual Fundraiser

You’re invited to FOR’s annual fundraiser “Rock the River” on Sat Oct 12, 2024 celebrating the nifty-fifties decade of poodle skirts, bobby socks with saddle shoes, hula hoops, slicked-back “duck tail” hair, polio vaccine creation, Rosa Parks rides the bus and the “I Love Lucy TV show.

On your arrival to the event, our own FOR “greaser” will be serving a complimentary 50’s-style toddy. Mel’s Nifty-Fifty Diner menu is fried catfish, with all the trimmings, plus, cobbler dessert (sorry, 1950 TV dinners not planned). Frozen margaritas, beer and other beverages will be available. A live auction is planned with items going to the highest bidder -- if the price is right.

Tickets are $20 “Early Bird” or $25 at the door and includes a meal. Ticket Order Form
