Decorate your boat on Thu July 4th so it will be ready on Sat July 6th to join fellow boaters at the annual patriotic boat parade on the San Bernard. This fun, informal parade is held annually where red, white & blue decorated boats gather at the FM 521 bridge and head down river to the Churchill Bridge (or below if wishing to continue) cheering watchers as they stream by.
It’s free! Organized by Friends of the River San Bernard, it does not require registration. All you need to do is show up and show off your colors on your boat or personal water craft.
If you are not located on the parade route and want to view the parade, bring a lawn chair to the Friends of the River Community Center, 20450 CR 510-B, a mile south of the FM 521 bridge and watch the parade from there!
