GLO Grants Special Permission On the San Bernard

FOR President Mike Goodson talked to the Texas General Land Office (GLO) regarding repairing and dredging around docks on the San Bernard River damaged during Hurricane Harvey. Special permission has been granted until January 10, 2018 to do the following:

Existing docks and piers may be removed and replaced to the original size prior to the storm. Such structures must have been originally permitted.
The removal of sand material is permitted but cannot be placed anywhere in state waters “ the river “ (not back into the San Bernard). Removal can only be made to the original depth prior to the storm.
Any material that is on your property cannot be redeposited in the river.
