Note: these factoids were answers to questions asked at the annual Friends of the River public meeting on Sat Sep 17th.
- Private Boat Ramp Open for Public Usage
Until public boat ramps on the San Bernard can be cleaned of flood water debris, a private boat ramp located at Riverview Ranch is open for public use. It is deep enough for most boats. Call - Kirk Wardlaw, 713-503-7711.
The boat ramp at Hanson Riverside County Park, west of West Columbia on Hwy 35, is open for smaller boats.
- No fee at Brazoria County Landfill
Seabreeze Landfill, 10310 FM 523, Angleton, waived the fee during flood cleanup efforts.

- Storm Debris Pickup Phone Number
Residents living along state and county roads in unincorporated areas of Brazoria County can arrange for storm debris to be picked up by calling 979-900-9037 or email debrispickup@brazoria-county.com
Separate debris into six different categories: household trash, vegetative debris, construction and demolition debris, appliances, electronics and household hazardous waste. Debris must not be stacked or leaned against trees, poles or other structures and should be placed in the right of way as close to the road as possible. There will be multiple passes down each road to retrieve debris.
Mud from your yard if placed NEAR NOT IN a drainage ditch, will be collected.
- Water Well Sanitizing
Information at TCEQ "Disinfecting Your Private Well". Brazoria County Water Lab waived the well testing fee for Brazoria County residents. Phone 979-864-1628 and located at 409 East Orange, Angleton, Texas 77515. Hours: Monday - Friday: 8 A.M. - 4 P.M. Saturday: 8 A.M. - 2 P.M.
