The third clean-up of FM 2611 for this year was on October 6, 2012. Friends of the River SB volunteers met at the Churchill bridge boat ramp around 10:00 a.m. After two hours of cleaning on a hot, sunny day, nine bags of trash and some loose larger items (car parts) were collected. A partial trash pick-up had been done earlier in the week by residents of a half-way house, according to Constable Fred Kanter. Hopefully, the high grass will be mowed before the last trash pick-up of the year on Dec. 1.
