River Regatta Event: Gumbo Cook-off Competition

Join the creative competition among cooks in serving up your version of spicy-rich gumbo in the FOR River Regatta Gumbo Cook-off on Sunday, October 21. Register now to compete! The entry fee is $20 per pot of at least two to five gallons of gumbo (cooked rice will be provided). Enter one of these categories – seafood, non-seafood and vegetarian versions. Bring ready-to-serve to Dido’s on the river, 2922 CR 519, by 12:30 p.m. on event day, Sunday, 21Oct12. Judging starts at 12:45 p.m.
After the judging, Regatta-goers will get a chance to sample the different varieties of gumbo along with samples of craft beer starting at 1:00.m. Food tickets are $10.
