Five Years Since Harvey’s Visit
Posted on Aug 26th, 2022

South Texas residents who experienced hurricane Harvey five years ago will long remember the storm. On September 1, 2017, a lawn chair, circled in red in the photo, was deposited 25 ft up this cypress tree by hurricane flood waters. The tree and chair have survived the last five years as a landmark to Harvey's wrath. They are located two miles below the salt water dam on the river near Hwy 35. Happy Anniversary Harvey!
