Brazoria County Commissioner David Linder, Pct. 4 stated at “Breakfast on the Bernard” on Sat Aug 4, that Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) should get funded to dredge open the mouth by the fourth quarter of this year and unless there are unforeseen events, dredging should start the first part of next year.
River residents owe a debt of gratitude to the four Brazoria County Commissioners, Brazoria County Judge Matt Sebesta and to all the southern Brazoria County officials for the work done on reopening the mouth of the San Bernard and the attention they showed to the victims of Hurricane Harvey devastation. The best way to show your loyalty is at the polls in November.
