Don’t miss the fourth annual ESCAPE TO THE TROPICS: Party in ParrotDise, a Jimmy Buffet inspired feel-good FOR fundraiser on the San Bernard. The event starts at 6:00 pm on Sat Oct 7, at the FOR Community Center outdoor pavilion. Proceeds go to fund Friends of the River San Bernard programs, projects and scholarships.

 

Come dressed in your gaudiest Hawaiian garb, leave your good taste at home. Wear a parrot on your shoulder or on your head as a hat, the wackier, the better. Hear songs about boat drinks, pirates looking at 40, sons of sailors, islands and particular harbors. You will have an opportunity to sip a frozen concoction or two and chomp on a cheeseburger from ParrotDise along with the all trimmings. After the meal, listen for the sound of a gong announcing the start of the live auction that follows.
