Brazoria County Master Gardeners provided two well-prepared and informative presentations on gardening and composting at the FOR Community Center on Sat Aug 13th. This was the fourth and last public education program planned this year by the FOR Environmental Committee.
Thanks to John Flickinger who acted as MC and set up projection equipment and visual aids, including complementary plants and compost samples. He also drew for a door prize which was a nice touch. Ruth and August Aimone presented gardening and Ellen Pedisich presented composting. Both talks prompted several good questions. Approximately 24 attended with an even distribution of Master Gardeners, FOR members, and visitors.
