Life Along the Banks: USCG Point Glass Returns
Posted on Aug 23rd, 2012

The USCG Point Glass is seen at the top of the website in the masthead's revolving photos.
The USCG Point Glass has returned to the San Bernard River. It is berthed at Dido’s Restaurant. It is a former United States Coast Guard Cutter that has been re-fitted and reconditioned for the Boy Scouts of America Venturing Program, that provides water adventures and training for young men and women 14-21 years of age.

When not tied up on the San Bernard, it’s located at the Galveston Sea Scout Base. Sea Scouts will be performing drills on the river.

Read about the USCG Point Glass receiving the Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation.
