Photo by Bert Smith shows the mouth of the San Bernard on Sun July 30th looking toward the Gulf of Mexico. As sediments continue to grow and not much rain has fallen upriver, the current (dotted red line) looks to have slowed enough to have stopped before actually reaching the Gulf. Be careful of inner sandbars on the stretch of the river just past the ICW to the Gulf. It is very shallow in areas.
