- July 28, Phillips 66 Citizen Advisory Panel (CAP) Meeting, Old Ocean
Representing FOR were Valroy Maudlin, Fred Kanter and Tom Ronayne. CPChem and Phillips66 updated those in attendance on their construction activities, safety performance, and turnaround schedule for the remainder of the year. The FOR reps reported on their recent activities and the upcoming breakfast, river clean up, annual meeting, and LuWow fundraiser on Oct 3rd.
- July 29, FOR Ranger Program, Dido’s Restaurant, San Bernard River
Forty-four kids, plus counselors, from the Angleton Parks & Recreation Summer Jamboree program, took a day trip to the San Bernard River. While half of the group rode the Yellowstone Paddlewheeler, the other half heard about the San Bernard watershed, the types of fish that live in the river and how to tie up a boat.
