One of the two dinners sold at last fall's auction was purchased by Billy Cunningham. He and his family enjoyed eating their way up and down the river on Saturday, July 13.
The group met at the Churchill Bridge boat ramp and was transported by water taxi, driven by Marilyn Shockley and assisted by Ken Wright, to four homes along the river where they enjoyed this menu. At Stop #1– appetizers of stuffed meatballs, mini ham and cheese quiche, grilled sausage, boudin, grapes and a relish tray; Stop #2 – chilled avocado soup, chilled gazpacho soup plus Greek salad; Stop #3 – lobster and crabmeat cannoli with homemade pancetta pasta topped with a provolone cheese sauce accompanied with a multi-colored cauliflower casserole; Stop #4 – brownie ala mode, chocolate ice cream, cheesecake squares, tropical fruit plate, assorted pastries and ice fruit bars.
Don’t miss the October 27 River Regatta auction and a chance to bid on the two progressive dinners (Brazoria side and Sweeny side of the river).
