June Water Quality Test on San Bernard
Posted on Jun 11th, 2020

  • CR 469 6-10-20
  • CR 496 6-9-20
H-GAC Texas Stream Team volunteer Valroy Maudlin, using a test kit, measures the physical and chemical parameters of San Bernard River off his pier at CR 496, 1.6 miles upstream from the Churchill Bridge. The test reports the pH level, salinity, temperature, dissolved oxygen and turbidity of the water. Two forms are usually shown for comparison as the data collected from the two locations can vary.

Denise Wolever is the new Stream Team volunteer who tests from her dock at Fisherman's Point on CR 469, six miles downstream from Churchill Bridge. She has not been set up to do salinity testing.

Field Observations Comments: Above average high tide June 7-8 due to Tropical Storm Cristobal.
