Annual River Clean-up Sat Jun 8th
Posted on Jun 1st, 2019
People don’t just love the San Bernard, they're passionate about treating it right. Here’s your chance to join the annual San Bernard River TRASH MASH clean-up. It cannot be done without everyone’s support. It’s a dirty job but we can do it!
New this year, “outfitters” will hand out TRASH MASH flyers, t-shirts and trash bags to neighbors living in their area of the river. Collect any trash floating in and around your dock and bring to one of the three collection sites on TRASH MASH day, Sat Jun 8th.
If able, bring a boat to one of the three collection locations and you will get directions from the volunteers there. Dress dirty – gloves, rubber boots or adequate shoes, hat, sunscreen, bug spray, and trash grabber if you have one. Water, t-shirts and trash bags will also be available at the collection sites.
Then, immediately following the cleanup, come to the FOR Community Center, 20450 CR 510-B, one mile south of FM 521 bridge on Brazoria side of the river and celebrate your efforts at the Hot Dog Social. Menu to be decided, but be assured some of it will be hot dogs! See ya on the river!
