Gathered round the round table, the “Taste Buds” team for the fajitas judging consisted of, left, Valroy Maudlin, Gera Martin, Ken Wright, Mike Goodson, Nelson Taylor, Suzanne Goodson, Tom Ronayne (still scoring the last entry), Aaron Tomplait, Linda Wright and Adalia Maudlin.

The blue aprons of the FOR “Taste Buds” team were newly cleaned from judging ribs at Sweeny Pride Day when another attendance was requested at Brazoria’s “No Name Festival” BBQ cookoff on Sat Jun 11. This time it was to judge the fajitas entries. A score sheet with a scale of 1 to 25 provided these guides: 1 - 5 awful, 6 - 10 needs work, 11- 15 average, 16 - 20 pretty good, 21 - 25 awesome. In between entries, the team cleaned their palates with grapes and saltine crackers. The team agrees that if it looks good, tastes good and you want to eat more, than it’s a winner!
