"Thoughts and prayers for those impacted by the flood in Brazoria County".  –Astronaut Jeff Williams

You can see Hwy 288 and the city of Angleton to the right and West Columbia to the left with the brown Brazos River floodwaters in between.

Here you can see the city of Freeport,  the ICW and the lower Brazos River with its brown plume of silt spreading out into the Gulf of Mexico. Further to the left you can see the San Bernard River.

These photographs were taken June 9, 2016, by NASA astronaut Jeff Williams on board the International Space Station at an altitude of 200 plus miles. Bert Smith, who usually is flying over and photographing the mouth of the San Bernard, forwarded them to us. Info about Jeff Williams.
