Monday, June 29. Two towboats, M/V Miss Geri and M/V Hayden Evan, delivered large equipment to the Pierce Landing offloading ramp, (quarter mile below the FM 522 bridge) seen returning outbound to Port Freeport to get the next load.
On Monday, after flooding for a week, the river was finally low enough for the first of four shipments of equipment used in building the Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. polyethylene facility in Old Ocean, to be transported up river by barge.
