Kemp turtles seen on San Bernard Refuge beach
Posted on Jun 6th, 2012

During the latter part of May, the San Bernard Sea Turtle Patrol located a Kemp's Ridley sea turtle nest on the San Bernard Refuge beach and excavated 93 eggs. These turtles are starting to come ashore in this area now. Help is needed to patrol the beach to benefit this endangered species. Nesting season runs from April 1 until the end of summer.
