On April 2, 2022, a CRG Texas Environmental Services team pulled five water and sediment samples from the river and transferred them to a laboratory for analysis of contaminants. Note, the warning sign in the background has since been removed because conditions of the City of Brazoria WWTP have improved.

Hear the results of the $10,000 Environmental Impact Study, commissioned by Friends of the River San Bernard, to identify potential and existing environmental impact conditions on the river. It will determine whether water quality of the river was compromised as a result of the City of Brazoria WWTP discharge of effluent water into the river. Effluents contain various amounts of contaminants and these components accumulate over time in the river, especially in sediments.
CRG Texas will present the results of the environmental impact study at the FOR public education program this Saturday May 21st. Questions will be answered. Free and open to the public.
