On Sat May 14, a section of someone’s pier had broken loose and floated up against river resident Randy Hall’s boathouse. Randy called neighbor Mike Goodson for help in securing and towing the dock to the nearby FM 521 boat ramp. The full-sized dock, if left in the river would float partially submerged and create a danger to traveling boats. If struck, it could cause something more than a ding to the hull. Hall and Goodson get the “Good Neighbor Award”.
Now that there’s been a practice run to show how it's done, mark your calendar for the upcoming “Trash Mash” River Cleanup, Sat June 11, 8:00 am - Noon. Hot Dog Social immediately follows. There’s still a lot more trash left!
