If you fly your flag often and it gets worn out and is no longer a fitting symbol to display, the United States Flag Code says it should be retired in a dignified way. One way is to place it in the red mailbox looking flag retirement container in Brazoria that's located next to the t-shirt shop. You’ve probably driven by it a million times without knowing what it was...now you do! 

 

Photo Custom T shirts & Graphics The Brazoria American Legion Post 561 collects the worn flags and then holds a Flag Retirement Ceremony to dispose of them. There is now a permanent flag retirement site located at the American Legion Hall in Brazoria.
