Ox and Mule Pull Together on River
Posted on May 1st, 2020

Photo FOR Director John Swanson
Sounding somewhat like the parable that says that an ox and an “ass” (mule) are not to plow together, the M/V Sea Ox and M/V Sea Mule successfully pull and push together while navigating a payload on the San Bernard on Friday, May 1st.

The M/V Sea Ox pushes while the M/V Sea Mule pulls a barge loaded with refinery equipment destined for the Phillips 66 terminal located a mile and a half down river from the FM 522 bridge. The new fractionator parts will be unloaded and delivered to the Old Ocean Phillips 66 refinery to process natural gas liquids NGL from the Eagle Ford Shale production in West Texas.
