USACE Survey Boat Seen on River

A USACE survey boat travels outside the channel, close to the east bank, under the McNeil bridge on FM 521.

A U.S. Army Corps of Engineers boat was seen on Wed May 29th, slowly zig zagging back and forth crossing the river while traveling upriver. It was performing a hydrographic survey to monitor local river conditions which provides information for marine traffic that navigates the San Bernard. If you are on the river and meet the boat, please be courteous and give way to its course.
