FOR Team Judges Sweeny Brisket

The last entry in the Sweeny Pride Day Cook-off competition on Sat May 6, 2017 was forty samples of cooked brisket. Each entry was inspected, smelled, pulled at, tasted and judged by the Friends of the River San Bernard “Taste Buds” team. Thanks to Mike and Suzanne Goodson, Bob and Susan Bailey, Wayne Head, Ken Wright and Kirk and Cathy Wardlaw for participating as the team.
The cook-off winners were announced after the FOR judges had left. A couple of the judges were overheard saying on their way out they were heading for a brisket sandwich somewhere. Not!
