Bulkhead Repair

Years of neglect has taken its toll on the bulkhead in front of the F.O.R. Community Center. Work is in progress by a group of F.O.R. volunteers who are replacing the deteriorating bulkheads to make the F.O.R. Community Center safe and accessible.
As a continuation of the improvements, the F.O.R. Environmental Committee is studying plans

for placing a living shoreline in front of a portion of the bulkhead that will tolerate the various water conditions in that area of the San Bernard. Living shorelines can provide additional protection to existing structures while restoring shoreline habitat. Living Shorelines |

Awesome job everyone! F.O.R. is very blessed to have two retired civil engineers heading up this project. Together with the other great F.O.R. volunteers, they finished this project in record time and on budget! Hats off to our world-class volunteers! Great job!
