On April 2010, the newly-built M/V Safety Runner gets her props wet in the Ohio River for the first time. At that time, the owner was J. Russell Flowers, Inc., Greenville, MS who leased it to American Electric Power (AEP) River Operations, Chesterfield, MO. In 2021, the J. Flowers company was sold to Metairie, LA.- based Maritime Partners, a vessel leasing company.
