The Easter Bunny arrived by water taxi to signal the start of the FOR Easter egg hunt. Don’t tell the kids but the bunny was Shawn Hyland, a bunny-in-training (BIT). Hidden behind the bunny's cottontail is boat driver Cole Swanson.

Excited kids and parents celebrated Easter Saturday with an egg hunt at the FOR Community Center. The annual event, held by Friends of the River San Bernard resumed after halting for two years due to covid restrictions. It took only 10 - 15 minutes for kids to fill empty Easter baskets with all 3,000 hidden eggs. It was a egg-cellent FOR event to connect with river neighbors and enjoy a shared experience.
