Sludge in the San Bernard Update - 4/11/22
Posted on Apr 11th, 2022

City of Brazoria WWTP Temporary Mitigation
Weekly Report Mon Apr 11, 2022
Mark Rudolph, Strand Associates, Inc.

  • Magna Flow has removed 33 trucks of sludge as of today. They de-mobilized from the WWTP site at the end of last week to move to another job, but can be called back if it is determined that additional sludge removal is necessary.
  • As of last Wednesday, the water in the oxidation ditch has changed to a color and smell that would indicate better treatment quality.
  • The City has begun re-seeding the ditch with sludge and adding feed to maintain healthy bugs.
  • We are continuing to have conversations with the GLO regarding the work that has been performed, and are providing supporting documentation as requested.
