April Meeting Report

These reports are a way to let the public know what FOR’s been up to. It’s also a way that someone can determine if there is any way they’d like to get involved in things. - Thu Apr 14 Texas Stream Team Water Quality Test on San Bernard
H-GAC Texas Stream Team volunteer Denise Wolever uses a test kit to measure the physical and chemical parameters of San Bernard River. She tests off her pier six miles downstream from Churchill Bridge at CR 469. The test reports the pH level, salinity, temperature, dissolved oxygen and turbidity of the water.

Twenty-two folks attended the regular first Saturday of the month breakfast. President Kirk Wardlaw announced the latest news about the City of Brazoria WWTP discharge into the river, dredging of the mouth, and the April 16th Easter Egg Hunt at the FOR Community Center. Guests included Lee & Cathy Poye and P.T. & Lisa Brunner. P.T., along with FOR Director Tom Ronayne, is running for a position on the Sweeny Hospital Board at the May 25 election.
