Government Officials Make Second Visit to Mouth

On Tue Apr 17, Representative Dennis Bonnen, Texas General Land Office Commissioner George P. Bush, Brazoria County Judge Matt Sebesta, Commissioner Dude Payne and Constable David Thacker toured the San Bernard River. Chris Sallese, Dannebaum Engineering explained the issues of dredging and flood mitigation. Also discussed was Brazoria County’s commitment to open the mouth of the San Bernard using RESTORE grant funds and its future maintenance.
Note: It was the San Bernard River that was toured, not the "San Brazos River", as it was referred to in the first paragraph of the front page article "Team Effort" in THE FACTS Wed Apr 18 newspaper.
