Highway Clean Up Postponed
Posted on Apr 2nd, 2018

The FOR Environmental Committee and FOR Board tentatively approved a highway clean up for Saturday, April 7th, in conjunction with Texas Trash-Off. The right-of-way next to FM 2611, located a mile before and a mile after the Churchill Bridge where FOR Adopt-a-Highway cleanup takes place, has not been mowed. The TxDOT contact has no information from the mowing contractors as to when it might be mowed. Based on that, FOR’s highway cleanup has been postponed to a future date when the weeds are mowed and the snakes are less active.

The Don’t mess with Texas Trash-Off is the single largest one-day cleanup event in the state.
