Subject: River flooding
Brazoria County – As the Brazos River and San Bernard River continue to rise; County Officials, Brazoria County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service are keeping a watchful eye on the rising river levels.
Currently, Cow Creek Bridge at County Road 25 (Holiday Lakes) is under water and is impassible. Residents living along the San Bernard River are advised to prepare any watercraft/boats for heavy debris due to rising river levels.
Those living on or around the Brazos River and San Bernard River should stay alert to river changes. It is suggested that those living in the low lying areas around the Brazos River get all property and livestock out of the flood plain. If assistance is needed with livestock in potential flood plain areas please contact AgriLife Extension Office – Brazoria County at 979-864-1558.
Please stay updated through the Brazoria County website at www.brazoriacountytx.gov and on Brazoria County Facebook and Twitter.
