A FOR Ranger program was held on Friday, April 17th at Newgulf Elementary in Boling, Texas. The educational program was presented to 92 fifth grade science students who learned about the San Bernard River watershed and its environmental concerns. Points-of-interest along the river were discussed accompanied with a FOR watershed booklet. Fish identification of the San Bernard followed after which “mostly-true” fish tales were told by the students. Last was an interactive nautical knot tying session. Each Student was given a packet of information and a FOR Ranger t-shirt. Four lucky kids also won a rod and reel when their names were drawn.
