Easter Bunny Makes Appearance at Community Center
Posted on Apr 6th, 2015

Excited kids hunt down Easter Eggs scattered on the FOR Community Center grounds.

Spike, the Easter Bunny, arrived by boat driven by Bob Bailey, to start the hunt!

Consider yourself lucky not to be standing in front of the large group of pumped up kids as the starter’s gun went off to signal the beginning of the fourth annual FOR Easter Egg Hunt, a Friends of the River San Bernard hosted event. It was pure pandemonium as kids ran to find the 2,000 eggs filled with treats. Afterwards, the children were served cookies, milk and orange juice to help wash down all the "nutritious" treats found inside the eggs.

Thanks to Spike Shane Davenport (Tom & Sherrie Folger’s son-in-law) for jumping on the task of portraying Peter Rabbit. Thanks to Vicki Head and Wana York for chairing the Easter Egg Hunt and who were ably assisted by the Decorating Divas committee in filling and hiding the eggs. Also thanks to Pettigrew Distributing, Oak Farms Dairy for suppling the milk and juice.
