An Egg-cellent Egg Hunt Held

On a warm March 30th morning, Peter Rabbit was seen waving from a special water-taxi, driven by Cole Swanson, heading to the FOR Community Center. After arriving, Peter will signal the start of the Friends of the River San Bernard’s annual Easter Egg Hunt.

The “Go Get Em” signal is given to fifty some egg-cited egg hunters! The free event for children ages 12 years and younger included 1,600 treat-filled eggs in age-specified hunting areas

Before the egg hunt start, Chairman Dana Swanson, assisted by FOR VP Sheila Wardlaw held a drawing for a child’s gift in each of the three age categories.
Egg hunters are ready with empty baskets before the signal to start.

Note - last photo shows a rabbit bear hug wrapped around a boy who’s thanking Peter for coming. (Ssh, don’t tell the kids but that’s Shawn Hyland in the rabbit costume.)
