Posted on Mar 3rd, 2016

A sincere thank you to the five VFDs that responded to this fire, they are a dedicated and professional group of firemen.

Neighbors, next to the house that burned on CR 432 near the FM 2611 Churchill Bridge, awoke at 4:30 a.m. this morning, March 3rd, to what sounded like fire crackers popping in rapid succession. They went outside to see what was going on and saw their next door neighbor’s house completely engulfed in flames. 911 was immediately called. Five neighboring VFDs arrived to put out the fire!

"We had a reignite. It was a very hot fire. Not uncommon for fire to do that. We used heavier concentration of foam. Should do the trick." Frank Jones Sr., River's End VFD, 5:30 p.m.
