Seen on the River: Travis V Setton
Posted on Mar 18th, 2015

The M/V Travis V Settoon was seen recently heading downriver pushing a barge load of liquid petrochemical product from the Phillips 66 Refinery in Sweeny. It is one of a fleet of seventy push boats (towboats) of Settoon Towing, headquartered in Pierre Part, LA. It was built in 1981 and is powered with a 1,000 hp engine. Both the push boat and barge are designed to facilitate gathering liquids in shallow waters.
