Pesky Bug Program Held

![]() Dr. Paul Nester, Extension Program Specialist Integrated Pest Management, Texas AgriLife Extension Service explained how to win the battle with fire ants.
The second of the Environmental Committee series of six programs, "Bugs That Bite, Sting and Chew", was held on Saturday, March 22 at the FOR Community Center. Forty attendees were treated to a two-hour program filled with a wide variety of information on how to deal with fire ants, mosquitoes and garden pests.
The next educational program is the "Gone Wild - Feral Hog Program" on Sat, April 26, 10 am - 12 noon. Mark Tyson, Texas A&M AgriLife will discuss feral hog control and management. New trap designs will be on display.
