At the annual Friends Of the River (FOR) San Bernard State of the River meeting, Sat Feb 18, 2017, at Dido’s restaurant, six-year Board Member and past FOR President Wayne Head received the 2017 Ralph Primeau Memorial Award in recognition of his outstanding volunteer commitment for significantly contributing toward the spirit and purpose of FOR’s mission of a clean and flowing San Bernard River. In addition to his numerous FOR volunteer activities, Wayne initiated and led FOR’s involvement with hosting Wounded Warriors on the San Bernard and also for coordinating FOR’s involvement with Sargent’s Hunt for Heroes spaghetti dinner. Standing with Wayne is Arlene Primeau Harper the original sponsor of the award.
