![]() BARBARA FRATILA
Barbara has contributed her expertise as an attorney towards obtaining the FOR Natural Area Acquisition Supplemental Environmental Project (SEP) funding allowing FOR to retire a $75k five-year note in one year using public monies that would have otherwise gone to Harris and other counties. Barbara has been generous in volunteering her time and has secured significant pro-bono work from her law firm Gilbert and Gilbert. Barbara has guided the conservation easement process through the difficult legal maze with efficiency and without complaint. This process would have suffered greatly without her knowledge and skill in dealing with the agencies and people involved. Barbara is the chairman of the Environmental Committee and has been involved in the Adopt a Highway program. |

One of our unsung heroes, Vanessa also has been involved with FOR since its inception. In fact, FOR was conceived as an idea at a gathering at her home. As chairperson of the parade committee, she works tirelessly to put on two highly visible events each year – the July 4th boat parade and the lighted Christmas boat parade. These events publicize our organization and generate significant goodwill and support for FOR. Vanessa is a go-to person who always makes time to support our efforts. She is zone captain in our annual clean-ups, CAPs member, and volunteers whenever help is needed. |
