Mark your calendar! On Saturday, February 25, 2012, F.O.R. San Bernard will hold its annual “State of the River” meeting from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at 2J’s Seafood House, 5070 CR 469, located on the San Bernard River. Food will be available from the restaurant before, during and after the meeting but there is no charge to attend. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend.
F.O.R. Committee members will report on last year’s accomplishments and goals for the upcoming year. The annual Ralph Primeau Memorial Award will be presented to the person or persons whom F.O.R. feels has significantly contributed toward the spirit and purpose of the F.O.R. mission.
Guest speakers are Mike Nixon, Director of the Sweeny & West Brazos EMS Emergency Medical Services 911 and Aubin Phillips,
Senior Program Manager, Clean Rivers Program, Houston-Galveston Area Council. Mike will speak on “How can the EMS find our house when we need them?” and Aubin will be discussing the “San Bernard Watershed Protection Program”.
