Decorated boats gathered at the FM 521 bridge for the start of the Friends of the River (FOR) San Bernard Dec 9th Christmas Boat Parade. Lights from Scott and Jen Summers’ boat reflect on the river resembling a giant toy snow globe. They were scheduled to be the lead boat in the parade but last minute mechanical problems scuttled their plans. Aboard the boat was a full band with singers that serenaded the waiting boats as they lined up for the parade.

Captain Josh and crew with the Gulf Coast Rescue Squad led the 12 boat parade. Thanks to FOR President John Swanson for photographing proof of Summer's entry. No one would have believed owner Scott’s sad story of what could have been his moment of glory. Additional photos of the boat parade to come!
