Boat Parade CANCELLED

Dagnabit, the “Cowboy Christmas” boat parade has been CANCELLED today, Sat Dec 8th, because of flooding on the San Bernard. Flood gauges upriver show the river will continue to rise until early next week and is unsafe to hold the event as planned.
Will there still be an Awards Party? Yer durn tooting there will be – tomorrow Noon Sun Dec 9th, at Liquid Rides on FM 521 half mile east of San Bernard. Home Decorating Contest winners will be announced. All boat parade participates, their crew, home decorating participates and interested San Bernard river residents are invited. Fun, food, music, and door prizes will be served up at the party. If you are a Boat Parade entry, bring a photo of your boat on your phone and all bragging rights will be tolerated as to why you think yours was the best!
