Mon 29Sep21. Celebration is near! The setting sun reflects off the water as the dredge gnaws away at the small spit of land separating the mouth from the Gulf. Dredging will continue into the Gulf at a southwesterly angle for another few hundred feet.

Section of completed dredging from Thu 11/18 to Tue 11/23

Rigid Constructors - Dredging Contractor
Daniel Garza Project Manager - HDR Engineering, Inc, Owner’s-Engineer
Based on daily reports, the following metrics have been calculated:
LF (Linear Feet) = 9,080 (93.6% of 9,700)
CY (Cubic Yards) = 258,511 (71.4% of 362,163)
Rigid’s production has been ramping up the last week or so. They’ve averaged almost 4,200 cy/day for the last week, which is terrific for the timeline. We’re still trending toward the last week of December to complete the dredging. At their current rate, they may break through to the Gulf of Mexico within the next day or so. I’ll keep you updated.
One thought that has pushed up the production is that Rigid’s equipment is running fairly smooth with no significant down time for the week.
