Eighteen Friends of the River San Bernard volunteered to assist with the second annual Sargent Tournament of Heroes and the Serve Outdoors Matagorda Bay Chapter event on Oct 25-27, 2019. It provided for twenty-five active military members and veterans to come to Sargent for a weekend of fishing and fellowship that was geared toward allowing these Heroes a short reprieve from treatment or recovery.

 

Thanks to these FOR volunteers that helped serve meals at the event: Claudia and Mel Pechacek, Cynthia Armstrong, Sherry Folger, George Harris, Dana and John Swanson, Cole and Colton Swanson, Karen and Lohn Zylicz, Dana, Justin and Jim Hillis and Vicki and Wayne Head.
