Go outside and play, the mosquitoes can't be that bad!

Mosquito Outbreak

Due to the recent rains and high tides we are experiencing a freshwater and salt marsh outbreak.  We were expecting the rains from last weekend to cause a flushing action which unfortunately did not happen. The trucks have been spraying throughout the County with the exception of Friday, due to bad weather.

Tuesday and Wednesday (this morning)  Garrett flew the West Marsh, Freeport, Oyster Creek, Demi John, Surfside, Quintana, FM 2004 and East Marsh.

I have contacted Sharon Trower to post public notice for aerial spraying throughout Brazoria County.  This will allow Garrett to spray over the cities and towns as needed.

Thank you,
Fran Henderson, Director
Brazoria County Mosquito Control District
