Based on daily reports, the following metrics have been calculated:
LF (Linear Feet) = 6,920 (71.3% of 9,700)
CY (Cubic Yards) = 179,398 (49.5% of 362,163)
Rigid has been operating continuously since 10/17, with no major stoppages. This is great news!
Due to the amount of material they’re now coming into (due to the sandy spit and the beach), Rigid will continue their two-pass dredging methodology. Recall that they’re dredging to elevation -11 (first pass), so they remove material from the top of existing grade to approximately elevation -9, and then go back and remove the remaining material (second pass).
Rigid provided an updated schedule to the County this week. They expect to be complete with dredging by the middle of December, and offsite completely by the end of the year. Recall that the contract end date is 01/18/21, so they’re well within the contract time period.

Transported from the dredging site by hydraulic pipeline, the slurry is dispersed at this area of the beach located on the down drift side of the mouth.
