The Dredge Report - 1/26/22
Posted on Jan 28th, 2022

Map shows section of river reworked thru Wed 1/26/22

Status Report 26Jan22
Rigid Constructors - Dredging Contractor
Daniel Garza Project Manager - HDR Engineering, Inc, Owner’s-Engineer

Based on daily reports, the following metrics have been calculated:
LF (Linear Feet) = 7,740 (79.8% of 9,700)
CY (Cubic Yards) = 338,658 (93.5% of 362,163) - Total volume will be adjusted when change order to finalize

Waves/currents have continued to hinder progress, so Rigid made the decision to move to the north end of the project and restart. They prepared the pipeline and began dredging at Sta. 11+00 and moving north.

Rigid has been able to dredge almost continuously without the challenges of waves and currents. Over the last four days, they’ve averaged over 5,000 CY/day, which is tremendous news.

A change order for the additional material and additional days has been developed, and currently awaiting signatures.

  • Boaters please stay clear of markers, the dredge pipe, all equipment, and the discharge area.
